Front Matter

Over the past four issues you’ve learned about the four key phases of creating your manuscript. But the manuscript gets “sandwiched” between the front and back matter of your book.
Front matter consists of all the pages BEFORE the first page of the first chapter and may include any/all of the following elements: testimonials, title page, copyright page, dedication page, epigraph page, table of contents, foreword, preface, acknowledgments, introduction/author’s Note and disclaimers.
